For many Y.O.U. students, meeting a potential employer for the first time can feel intimidating. To help prepare for this experience, Y.O.U. hosts mock interviews that give young people the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills, receive constructive feedback, and build confidence before their first real interview.
Volunteer Interviewers:
Review student resumes
Ask questions about students' experiences, interests, and career readiness
Provide constructive feedback on students’ performance
Volunteers from all professional backgrounds and industries are welcome! Whether you're an experienced hiring manager or simply someone who has navigated the interview process, your perspective can help students prepare for future opportunities.
This experience allows volunteers to connect one-on-one with Y.O.U. students, share their expertise, and directly contribute to their confidence and career readiness.
Volunteer shifts for specific dates and class periods throughout February will be available for sign-up closer to the event. Volunteers can select the date(s) and time(s) that best fit their schedules.
