Planning and Career Exploration

The Planning and Career Exploration (PACE) program is a school-based initiative that connects every student to a career pathway through structured lessons, career advising and work-based learning opportunities. The program aims for every student graduating from a PACE school to have a career plan, understand the next steps, and has the support and connections needed to assist them.

Founded in 2021, PACE is presented in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Career Consortium, other local non-profits, employers, and higher education institutions.

Throughout the 2024-25 school year, our Y.O.U. PACE program connected more than 4500 students from 33 local schools to a career vision that aligns with their skills and interests.

Y.O.U. employs full-time Career Readiness Facilitators to provide curriculum directly in the classroom. Through PACE, we work to ensure every student’s success through:

  • Interactive Career Readiness Activities

  • Resume and Interview Preparation Workshops

  • Connections to Summer Work Opportunities

  • Advising Sessions

  • Graduating seniors are also connected to employment and additional training partners based on their career interests.
